Training & technique
Why we train technique – not just strength and fitness

Boxing isn’t just about hitting hard or lasting longer – it’s about timing, precision and control. At Limitless Boxning we put a lot of focus on technique, whatever your level. It’s the key to becoming a better boxer, preventing injuries and getting the most out of your training.
What is technique training?
Technique training focuses on movement patterns, footwork, balance, coordination, breathing and timing. These are the sessions where you learn the basics and polish the details that make a big difference over time.
Examples of what we train:
- Punch sequences and combinations
- Footwork and positioning
- Defence: guard, blocks and evasive moves
- Breathing technique for better endurance
Why does technique matter?
It doesn’t matter how strong or fast you are if your technique isn’t there. Here are a few reasons why technique comes first:
- Injury prevention: the right movement patterns protect your joints and muscles.
- Better control: you learn to punch more effectively with less energy.
- Faster progress: technique is the foundation for sparring and competing.
- More confidence: when you understand what you’re doing, you dare to do more.
Tip: book one technique class every week, especially if you’re a beginner – for example Fundamentals or Footwork. Combine it with a conditioning class to get both control and fitness.
